Video: Aussie Dolphins Wrap up in Townsville, Ready to Take on Kazan

Some of Australia’s fastest swimmers just wrapped up their final meet leading up to the 2015 FINA World Championships, as they competed at the second Australian Grand Prix stop in Townsville, Queensland this past weekend.  The likes of Emma McKeonGrant Hackett, and the Campbell sisters descended upon the Long Tan Memorial Pool on June 20th and 21st to get some quality racing in before the big stage in Kazan later this summer.

The team put together a fun video highlighting the action that took place, and includes appearances by Emily Seebohm, Mack Horton, and Madeline Groves, among others.  Within one clip, swimmer Maddie Wilson asks Seebohm how it feels to have the Dolphins team all together again, to which Seebhohm replies, “It feels good, we’re all getting along really well.  We’re all having fun together, which is the most important part.”

Hopefully the happy vibe described and portrayed in the video sticks around, as the Australian team has had its share of bad luck as of late.  Sprinter James Magnussen‘s shoulder surgery, Seebohm‘s knee dislocation, Brittany Elmslie‘s health scare, and relay swimmer Kylie Palmer‘s positive doping test are all obstacles that the Dolphins have had to overcome as a team so far this year.
