USC’s Minna Abraham Not Traveling To Big Ten Championships “Due To Personal Reasons”

2025 Big Ten runner-up Minna Abraham of USC will not travel to the 2026 Big Ten Championships due to “personal reasons” the school announced on Instagram. Although Big Ten pre-meet psych sheets are typically not available, she was expected to be the top seed in the 200 free after posting the #2 time in the NCAA this season with a 1:40.47.

“Due to personal reasons, I will not be traveling with our team to the Big Ten Championships. I look forward to cheering on my teammates from LA while I continue my training. See you all soon!”

Abraham was one of the top scorers last year at the 2025 Big Ten Championships for USC as she scored 61 individual points. She was highlighted by 2nd place finishes in both the 100 free and 200 free. She also swam on four the teams relays, including the 400 and 800 free relays that finished 3rd.

USC finished 5th out of 14 teams at the 2025 Big Ten Championships with 835 points. They finished only 14 points behind 4th place Wisconsin.

Based on the Swimulator, USC is projected to finish 2nd at the 2026 Big Ten Championships, although they are separated by less than 50 points ahead of Ohio State and Indiana, who are projected to finish 3rd and 4th respectively.

Abraham last competed at USC’s dual meet against Stanford a month ago, swimming to a win in the 100 back with a 51.22. She also swam on two relays and finished 3rd in the 100 free.

The junior has had a huge season so far, including posting a 1:40.47 in the 200 free, a time that sits at #2 in the NCAA so far this season. She also sits at #10 in the NCAA in the 100 free with a 47.01.
