Want to race in the same pool as the Olympians, but don’t quite have the cuts to make the Olympic Trials? USA Swimming has released details about the 2011 Mutual of Omaha “Swimvitational” that will serve as the precursor and test event for the 2012 Olympic Trials.

This meet will be held from Friday, June 8th through Sunday, June 10th, which is two weeks before the Trials are slated to start (June 25th – July 2nd) in the same pool.

The Olympic Trials pool is really a feat of engineering, whose construction will begin on May 25th of this year. They take the 18,000 seat Qwest CenturyLink Center and for a few months turn it into the country’s largest natatorium. Seeing that first-hand is alone worth the entry fees for this meet.

Full meet details and information are available here, with the time standards below.
