Air Force men’s water polo (13-5) defeated Gannon University, 19-18, in day two action at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday at Kinney Natatorium on the Bucknell University campus in Lewisburg, Pa. With a game-high six goals, junior utility Tom Leggett broke the school record for most all-time goals in Air Force history.
The six goals gave Leggett 343 for his career. He surpassed the 339 goals scored by Air Force Athletics Hall of Famer Ben Phillips.
Sophomore Brady Kopperud added four goals and junior Jack Richards scored three goals and an assist, as the Falcons capped the Invite with the win.
The Falcons led 4-3 after the first quarter and 9-8 at the half. A 6-5 scoring advantage in the third quarter had the Falcons up 15-13. Air Force went up three goals in the fourth.
