FINA honors Chinese OIympic Champions Xie Siyi and Shi Tingmao as 2021 Best Divers of the Year. Both divers were gold medalists at the Tokyo Olympics.

Xie Siyi was near-perfect in claiming gold in the men’s 3m springboard, putting a total of 558.75 points on the board to lead countryman Wang Zongyuan.
Jack Laugher earned the third Olympic medal of his glittering career to complete the set by diving to a brilliant bronze in the Men’s 3m Springboard final.
Wang Zongyuan and Xie Siyi comfortably advanced 1-2 into the semis of the individual 3m springboard event, putting up respective scores of 531.30 and 520.90.
Michael Hixon paired with Andrew Capobianco to win his second straight Olympic silver medal in the men’s 3-meter synchronized diving event.
China is a perfect 5-for-5 in diving gold medals so far, almost matching their total of 8 from the 2017 World Championships already.
The FINA/CNSG Diving World Series 2019 concluded on Sunday May 19 in London, Great Britain, as national heroes Jack Laugher, Thomas Daley, Matthew Lee, Daniel Goodfellow, Eden Cheng, Lois Toulson and Grace Reid clinched three gold, one silver and two bronze medals on offer to join Team China and Australia at the top of the chart.
