Santa Margarita was dominant in the girls meet, sweeping the relays, winning 6 individual events, and recording a trio of 2nd place individual finishes.
Justina Kozan, the lone senior on the team, brought it home in 48.67, getting her hand on the wall in a final time of 3:14.80.
The CIF-SS Division 1 finals session took place this past Friday in Mission Viejo, featuring some of the fastest high school swimmers in California.
Teia Salvino won two individual events for Santa Margarita and helped the team to two relay wins as well. The team won 14 out of 22 events at the meet.
Gabriel Jett of Clovis took his 5th title of the meet by winning the 200 IM at 2:02.88, ranking No. 6 in the 17-18 age group this season and No. 55 all-time.
Santa Margarita swept all three relay events and six out of eight individual events to earn their 7th-straight CIF Southern Section DI Championship title.
The Santa Margarita men and women both picked up Trinity League titles last weekend. Two SMCHS relays and Justina Kozan both broke Trinity League records.
