Reece Whitley of the U.S. will race the 100 breast semi-finals tonight at the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships.
Japan’s Nao Horomura threw down a 1:53.90 to win the WUG title and narrowly miss the Junior world record of 1:53.79, set by Hungarian Kristof Milak.
The FINA World Junior Swimming Championships begin Wednesday in Indianapolis, Indiana, with approximately 630 athletes from 93 National Federations.

Pick ‘Em players were thrown off in startingly high numbers by Joseph Schooling’s now-infamous post-practice 50.7 in the 100 fly. Just 17% picked Caeleb Dressel to win even after hitting the world’s #1 time at U.S. Nationals. 77% of players picked Schooling, who wound up tying for 3rd in 50.8.
