The United States, Australia, Spain and Hungary are still in the running for medals in women’s water polo at the World Championships after quarterfinal wins.
The FINA Women’s WP World League Super Final semifinals are set with the USA, Italy, Netherlands and Russia advancing through Friday’s quarterfinal round.
Italy and the United States both rounded out the group stage of the Super Final with 3-0 and will take the top seeds to the quarterfinals.
The United States kept itself atop Group B with a crushing 15-4 win over Canada. Italy, meanwhile, edged out the Netherlands 8-7, firmly planting itself in the Group A lead with six points.
