Alicia Grima Alicia Grima is an IM specialist from Redwood City in northern California. Grima swam everything from the 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke and even the 200 IM during her time Woodside High School, which proves her versatility. She's in her junior year at the University of California, Berkeley where she intended to study Public Health, but ultimately chose to major in American Studies. In addition to swimming Grima also payed water polo on her high school team. She's a three-time high school All-American and was recruited by schools around the state of California including UCLA and UC Santa Barbara. Swimming since the age of six, Grima has expressed that the 200 IM is her favorite event even though she won consecutive Central Coast Section titles in the 500 freestyle. A member of Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics Grima started off her elite swimming career as a backstroker, but has really developed her versatility. UC Berkeley 2012-2013 As a freshman Grima competed at her first Pac 12 Championship meet. She swam the 200 IM where she picked up some points by finishing 17th overall and she also picked up an 18th-place finish in the 400 IM and touched 23rd in the 200 butterfly. 2013-2014 Grima competed at the 2014 …
