MacLean 400 Free – Most Dominant Swim of 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials

Olympic fever is quickly approaching. Every country around the world is preparing for the races in Rio this summer.

Throughout this process, everyone is on the lookout for especially dominant performances because dominant performances indicate that something special could be happening.

At the Canadian 2016 Olympic Swimming Trials, Brittany MacLean won the 400m Freestyle by a dominance margin of 2.5% over all other competitors at the meet. Brittany’s 400m Freestyle was noteworthy because she was more dominant in this race than any other competitor at the Canadian Olympic Trials.

Aside from Brittany MacLean‘s 400m Freestyle, there were some other especially dominant performances. For example, Kylie Masse broke the Canadian Record by a dominance margin of 1.05%, the most dominant record breaking. Also, both Penny Oleksiak and Noemie Thomas dominated the trials qualifying standard wwith a 3.0% dominance margin. Lastly, Javier Acevedo dominated his previous best time by the largest margin–a dominance margin of 2.93%

Congrats to Brittany for being the most dominant swimmer of the Canadian Olympic Trials; and congrats to all the swimmers who will be representing in Rio for Canada.
