A Memorial Service for Lauren Beam, New York University’s women’s swimming & diving head coach who passed away on Saturday after her courageous battle with cancer, will take place at NYU’s Kimmel Center on Sunday, September 18, at 3:00pm.

The service will be held in the Rosenthal Pavilion, located on the 10th floor of the Center (60 Washington Square South, New York, NY 10012).

There have been many inquiries from those who would like to send something to express their condolences. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Lauren would have preferred that you make a donation to The Hope Lodge (part of the American Cancer Society), which provides housing for out-of-state cancer patients who need to be in New York for treatment. You may make a donation in Lauren’s memory to the Hope Lodge online in Memory of Lauren Beam. You can also write a check, payable to the American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge NYC, Attn: Lindsay Edgar, 132 West 32nd Street, New York, NY 10001

The NYU Community and the family of Laurten Beam thank everyone for their support and wishes at this time.
