HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University swimming and diving team took its final dual of the regular season, 195-104, over Bowling Green on Friday.

“Our women really put on a show for the home crowd tonight,” Marshall swimming and diving head coach Ian Walsh said. “I thought we brought a really good deck presence and were pretty focused on the event list. It was a special night for our seniors and it was great to walk away with a win at their final meet here at home.”

“Regan (Raines) and Rae (Mooij) are the first class to move through all four years with me as head coach, so it was extra special to send them off tonight. I thought our relays were pretty sharp and had some great individual performances. Eszter (Laban), Madeline (Hart), Gina (Cantoral), Kailee (Payne) and Paige (Banton) all walked away with event wins in the first half of the meet. Eszter and Gina had lifetime bests and moved up on our all-time top-10 list. Second half of the meet was just as strong as we took down a couple pool records and sent our seniors off with a big win.”

“We look forward to the next few weeks of training and will give our kids some rest leading into the final push. A lot of positives from this meet and some really great learning opportunities as well.”
