Kristen Keifer Verbally Commits to Kentucky Wildcats

Kristen Keifer from the Lakeside Swim Team in Kentucky has verbally committed to the Kentucky Wildcats.

Keifer, who swims for Assumption High School in Louisville, has a lot of versatility, which should give UK head coach Lars Joregensen the flexibility he needs to fill out his lineup.

In yards, her bests times are:

  • 50 free – 25.10
  • 100 free – 54.04
  • 200 free – 1:54.22
  • 500 free – 5:06.28
  • 100 back – 57.66
  • 100 fly – 58.29

Kentucky doesn’t have a ton of backstroke depth, so that would be the most logical direction for her to take once she arrives in Lexington.

Keifer placed 8th at the last Kentucky State Championship meet in the 200 free.

She’s one of five swimmers to verbally commit to the Wildcats in the last few days. They’ve also added IM’er/butterflier Kathryn Painter, backstroker Kayla Churman, sprinter Geena Freriks, and middle-distance freestyler Olivia Treski.
