Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Junior Nationals qualifier Lincoln Hoffmann has announced his intention to swim and study at Texas Christian University beginning in the fall of 2026. He confirmed the news on SwimCloud, writing:

I am extremely blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Texas Christian University. I would like to start by taking a moment to thank God, my family, Coach Shawn, and my friends for helping me along this journey. I would also like to thank the TCU coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity. Go Frogs!

The Colorado native is currently a senior at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, where he has competed on the varsity swimming and diving team since his sophomore year. He began his high school career as a freshman at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins before relocating south to the Denver metro area. A versatile threat in the water, he trains year-round with Front Range Barracudas and excels in butterfly, IM, and middle-distance freestyle events.

While Hoffmann has consistently dropped time each season of his career, 2025 was the breakthrough year that elevated his recruiting profile. He shaved nearly a second off his 100 fly personal best, dropping from 48.69 to 47.79, and over a second in the 200 fly, going from 1:50.14 to 1:48.69, while also lowering his 50 free from 21.50 to 21.09, 100 free from 45.93 to 45.15, and 200 free from 1:40.56 to 1:39.49.

Hoffmann most recently competed at Winter Juniors West in December, where he placed 19th in the 100 fly, 29th in the 200 fly, 54th in the 100 free, 74th in the 200 IM, and 106th in the 50 free. He set current personal bests in both fly events and the 50 free while clocking a season-best 1:51.47 in the 200 IM that narrowly missed his lifetime best of 1:51.30 from February 2025. He also time trialed the 200 free, setting his current personal best in the process.

It was Hoffmann’s first time scoring at Winter Juniors, a step up from finishing 40th in the 100 fly (48.66), 67th in the 200 fly (1:50.14), and 84th in the 200 IM (1:51.97) a year prior; in 2023, he had placed 56th in the 100 fly (49.61), 82nd in the 200 fly (1:52.70), 109th in the 200 IM (1:54.37), and 136th in the 50 free (21.57).

On the high school scene, Hoffmann has improved each year at the Colorado High School Activities Association 5A state meets. As a junior last May, he was runner-up in the 100 fly (48.03) and ninth in the 200 free (1:41.89), up from fourth (49.60) and 12th (1:43.16) as a sophomore and eighth (50.81) and 27th in the 200 IM (2:00.17) as a freshman.

Beyond short course, Hoffmann qualified for Junior Nationals over the summer, placing 52nd in the 50 fly, 50th in the 100 fly, and 103rd in the 200 fly. He posted a personal best of 25.58 in the 50 fly and season bests of 55.70 and 2:11.68 in the 100 and 200 fly before capping his meet with a time-trial lifetime best of 55.10 in the 100. His 200 fly personal best of 2:11.16 came at July 2024’s LAC Summer Senior Showdown.

Top SCY Times:

  • 100 Butterfly: 47.79
  • 200 Butterfly: 1:48.69
  • 200 IM: 1:51.30
  • 50 Freestyle: 21.09
  • 100 Freestyle: 45.15
  • 200 Freestyle: 1:39.49

TCU finished fourth at the 2025 Men’s Big 12 Championships, a slight drop from their second-place showing a year prior. The shift came as new teams, including Arizona State, joined the conference. Arizona State dominated the meet, finishing more than 600 points ahead of second-place Arizona. The standings shakeup followed Texas’s departure for the Southeastern Conference after the 2024 season.

Based on the results from the 2025 Big 12 Championships, Hoffmann would have landed in the ‘C’ finals in both fly events, setting him up to be a contributor right from the start. It took times of 20.08/44.06/1:36.97 in the 50/100/200 free, and 1:48.08 in the 200 IM, meaning the 100 free is looking life Hoffmann’s best option for a third event.

On the team’s 2024-25 depth chart, Hoffmann would have ranked third in the 100 fly, fourth in the 200 fly, ninth in the 200 IM, and 10th in the 50, 100, and 200 free. He will overlap one season with Nigel Forbes, the team’s best 50 freestyler (19.79) and 100 flyer (46.52), and two seasons with Viktor Hristov, who leads the squad in the 100 free (43.77) and 200 fly (1:45.40), giving him strong training partners as he transitions to collegiate swimming.

Hoffmann joins Thomas Bradac as the only publicized commitments in the Horned Frogs’ class of 2030. Bradac brings similar sprint free times of 20.18/44.63/1:39.56.
