Halanki semifinals mein wo 6th aaye aur final ke liye qualify nahi kar paye, lekin unka 24s ke neeche ka time ek bahut bada milestone hai Indian swimming ke liye.
Ye historic performance unke breakout season ka hissa hai. Pichle mahine National Aquatics Championships, Bhubaneswar mein unhone 100m butterfly mein gold jeeta tha, time tha 52.57s — isme bhi Khade aur Sajan Prakash ke long-standing records ko peeche chhod diya.
Rohit ka safar aur bhi inspiring hai — unka janm fractured right thigh bone ke sath hua tha, swimming unhone therapy ke roop mein start ki thi. Aaj woh ek record-breaking swimmer ban chuke hain.
Unka ye season itna strong raha hai ki unhone World Championships, Singapore ke liye ‘B’ qualification time bhi achieve kar liya hai.
Opening day of the Games mein woh Indian swimmer the jo heats se aage badhe — unka sub-24 timing sirf unke liye nahi, balki poore Indian aquatics ke liye ek historic moment hai.
