Gulf Swimming LSC Holding Contest to Redesign Logo

The Gulf Swimming LSC is holding an open contest to re-design it’s logo. The LSC is the 17th-largest in the country (as of 2014) with 8,000 members, which includes the 4th-largest city in the country, Houston, College Station, the Woodlands, and surrounding areas.

Citing an “outdated USA Swimming logo,” the organization wants a new logo that speaks to their “mission, vision, and core values as an LSC.”

The winner of the contest will receive their Individual USA Swimming registration free for the 2017-2018 season ($56), plus their team will receive their annual team registration fee ($150) for free.

The Gulf LSC is hoping to have a logo that speaks to their values:

  • Gulf Vision Statement – “Competitive swimming for all.”
  • Gulf Mission Statement – “Gulf Swimming provides opportunities to learn, grow and strive for excellence that develops leaders through competitive swimming.
  • Gulf Core Values: Integrity, Sportsmanship, Unity, Dedication, Excellence, Leadership

Submissions are due at noon on December 15th.

For more details and official rules, see the request for proposal here: Gulf Swimming LSC logo contest.
