A former high school swimming and diving coach has been arrested on child pornography charges after having previously served time for child pornography and corrupting minors in a nearby county, local outlet Daily Voice reported Tuesday.
Patrick Eugene Fatta, 49, previously worked as the assistant swimming coach and diving coach for the Hempfield High School and Manheim Township School District for “several years” through 2014.
He was charged in November of that year, and ultimately pled guilty in two separate cases in 2015 for child pornography, criminal use of communication facility and corruption of minors.
Swatara Township Police reports that it began an investigation into a child pornography case on Oct. 21, 2021 after receiving a tip from a neighboring jurisdiction. The investigation led to police obtaining a search warrant on Dec. 6, leading to the arrest of Fatta.

The police reportedly found child pornography at his residence during the warranted search, and he was charged with two felony counts of child pornography, according to the Daily Voice.
Fatta, most recently of Harrisburg, Pa., was arraigned and remanded to the Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
His formal arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 11 at 9 am.

Not always – careful with the broad generalizations. I know 2 people that were pretty young (19-22) who got caught up in illegal internet child porn. They went to prison and have been out on probation since the incidents for more than 10 years with no repeated behavior. They are registered sex offenders and live with a lot of limitations, but are truly remorseful for the wrong choices. People don’t always repeat their crimes.

And we have people in jail for years for smoking weed
So the dude went to prison in 2015 for possession of child porn and sexual abuse of a minor, but was in for less than 6 years and is back at it again? That sounds like criminally lax sentencing…
Yup. And I initially read the article wrong and thought he got released and went back to coaching…
