Competitive Swimmers Ke Liye Open Ho Pools: Karnataka Swimming Association

Karnataka Swimming Association (KSA) officials, Gopal B Hosur aur Secretary M Satish Kumar ke dwara Wednesday ko CM BS Yediyurappa se mulakat ki aur government se request karte huye ek memorandum submit kiya aur usme competitive swimmers ko pool mei return aane ke liye allow karne ko kaha.

Aur bhi activities ki tarah, swimmimg pools ko band huye ek month se jyada hone wala hai. KSA ne clear kiya ki ye request sirf competitive swimming ke liye hai aur na ki recreational swimming ke liye. Unhone apne 46 affiliated units aur swimmers ke liye permission le li hai jo ki apne country ya phir state ko represent karte hai.

TOI se baat karte huye Satish ne kaha, “Aise circumstances mein athletes ke liye apna training routine replicate karna tough hota hai. Humne government ke paas approach karne ko isliye decide kiya kyu ki Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),ek health institute hai jo ki Internationally recognized hai Communicable Diseases ne report kiya hai ki COVID-19 swimmers ko jo ki water mei hote hai unhe chlorine level 1.5ppm hone ki wajah se affect nahi karta hai. Humne guidelines bhi draft ki hai aur ye ensure kiya hai ki hygiene aur social distancing maintain rahe.”

Lockdown phases mei eased hone ki wajah se, KSA hopeful ki government ise go-ahead de degi.

DRAFT GUIDELINES

FOR SWIMMING POOLS

  • Swimming pool ke water mein Chlorine concentrations 1.0 aur 1.5 mg/L ke between maintained rahna chhaiye.
  • Changing rooms: Per person ke liye two square metres ka designated area available hai.
  • Competitive Athlete ki Training ke time at least four square metres available hai.
  • All changing rooms aur Toilets disinfected aur sanitized ho swimming pools ke open hone se pahle.
  • Every hour staff aur coaches ka temperature check.
  • All training and non-training staff weekly test karayenge.
  • Sabhi possible places mein, sanitizers placed kiye honge, aur water ke bahar staff apna face cover kiye rahenge.

FOR SWIMMERS

  • Last 14 days mein koi bhi swimmer COVID-19 se exposed ya phir use affect nahi hona chhaiye.
  • Unhe apna body temperature check karwana padega aur jiska bhi body temperature 99.5 se jyada hua usko access nhi milegi.
  • Swimming pool mei enter karne se pahle tak unhe gloves aur mask pahan kar rakhne honge aur activity ho jaane ke baad unhe use disposable bag mei daalna hoga.
  • Swimmers spit, urinate aur apni nose blow nahi kar sakte water mein.
  • Water mei enter karne se pahle toilet facilities ko in purpose ke liye use karna hoga.
