Born Jan. 30, 1994 to David and Lynn Salyers, Nick Salyers is a Georgia Bulldog originally from Roswell, Ga. Salyers is a versatile swimmer – he specializes in sprint freestyle, backstroke and butterfly, but has excelled recently in the backstroke events. He swam for Swim Atlanta, and attended Wesleyan High School where he was recruited by the University of Georgia. Salyers is a junior, and he’ s also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. One of his passions is traveling, and he recently went abroad to Europe where he visited Rome, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Germany to name a few. The Business major signed his NLI during the later signing date. He had a breakout meet at the spring NCSA Junior National Championships, and drew the attention of Division I programs, including the University of Georgia.

As a freshman Salyers excelled academically being named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. Salyers swam in dual meet competition and focused his taper meet on the Georgia Invite.
Salyers followed up his freshman season by once again making the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Salyers is currently in his junior year as a Georgia Bulldog. He swam most recently at the Georgia Invite, where he posted best times. He was chosen to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
As a student at Wesleyan High School Salyers was a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
