Illinois powered to a victory over Michigan State this weekend, defeating the Spartans 182-112. Illinois’ sophomore Samantha Stratford was instrumental in the win, picking up 3 individual 1st place finishes.

New Mexico State Falls to Wyoming

New Mexico State hosted Wyoming on Friday, as the NMSU women fell to the Cowgirls 178-122. Wyoming’s Nicole Hlavacek swept the distance events, while her teammate Abby Sullivan swept the backstroke races to help their team to a win.

Grand Canyon Tops Seattle, LMU in Home Opener

Grand Canyon earned victories over Seattle University and Loyola Marymount in their home opener this weekend. The Grand Canyon women beat Seattle 120-84 and Loyola 123-79. The GCU men topped Seattle 136-68.

Ball State swimming & diving fell to Akron and Toledo on the road Friday. Toledo won the matchup 195-105. Akron, the defending MAC champs, came out with a 221-78 win.
