Kate Stanley from Birmingham, Michigan has verbally committed to swim at Purdue University. The Seaholm High School rising senior has 2021 Futures (LCM) cuts in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley.

Stanley swims for Atlantis Swimming in Birmingham. Most recently, she competed at the 2021 NCSA Summer Swimming Championships, where she placed in the top 30 in the 50 meter butterfly, 50 meter breaststroke and 100 meter breaststroke. Her best short course times are:

- 100 breaststroke: 1:04.36
- 100 butterfly: 56.95
- 200 breaststroke: 2:22.49
- 200 individual medley: 2:07.27
Purdue is part of the Big Ten conference, and Stanley will join recent commits Reagan Mattice and Grace Lux in the class of 2026. With her top 100 breaststroke time, Stanley would have the fifth-fastest time on the team during the 2020-21 season. Her 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke times are a couple seconds away from a top-24 Big Ten Championships finish.
In 2021, Purdue finished ninth out of 13 teams at the women’s Big Ten Championships. At that meet, the Purdue women placed better in the mid-distance and distance events, so Stanley could potentially help bolster the sprint stroke events.
