Belton ISD & Tiger Sharks of Texas – Belton, Texas
This is a unique position in which the right candidate will serve as the head coach for Belton High School Swim Team as well as an assistant on the Tiger Sharks of Texas. Belton high school is a UIL member participating in 5A. The Tiger Sharks of Texas is a district owned, USA Swim Club comprised of athletes from the 3 Belton ISD schools as well as the surrounding area.
The ideal candidate has a proven ability to develop swimmers across all levels, build strong staff culture, foster a positive and inclusive environment, and guide the program to continued success at the LSC, regional, and national levels.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with the aquatics staff to further the BISD vision and promote the Tiger Shark Standards.
- Design and implement season training plans across age-group and senior levels
- Lead training and oversee all practice for Belton High School.
- Develop practice plans for assigned club groups.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with athletes, families, and district personnel
- Attend meets as scheduled
- Attend and supervise team functions
- Attend LSC functions
- Collaborate with the aquatics staff and athletic department on strategic planning, program retention and growth, and community engagement
Qualifications
- Current USA Swimming coach member in good standing
- All required certifications maintained in compliance with USA Swimming standards
- Demonstrated experience in athlete development and team leadership
- Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills
- Commitment to SafeSport and athlete well-being
Compensation (67,000-94,000)
