Fluidra Race Video of the Week: Torri Huske Holds Off Gorbenko To Win ACC Title In 200 IM

Three-time Olympic gold medalist Torri Huske used her butterfly prowess to grab an early lead she would never relinquish in the final of the women’s 200 IM on Wednesday night at the 2026 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships.

The Stanford senior blasted out to the lead on the fly leg, splitting 23.19, and although Louisville’s Anastasia Gorbenko, a three-time European champion in the event, was faster than Huske on every other stroke, the gap she created on fly was enough to secure the victory.

Huske touched in a time of 1:51.27, narrowly edging out Gorbenko (1:51.30) to successfully defend the conference title she won last year.

Split Comparison

Huske Gorbenko
23.19 23.95
50.98 (27.79) 51.70 (27.75)
1:24.09 (33.11) 1:24.18 (32.48)
1:51.27 (27.18) 1:51.30 (27.12)

Huske is the reigning NCAA champion in the 200 IM, setting her current best time of 1:49.67 at the 2025 national championships.

The swim for Huske moves her atop the NCAA rankings so far this season, overtaking teammate Lucy Bell, who entered the week ranked 1st in 1:52.50. Bell opted not to race the 200 IM on Wednesday, instead focusing on the 100 breast, 200 breast and 400 IM later in the meet.

Huske will contest the 100 fly final on Thursday night, where she’s the massive favorite and vies to defend her ACC title, and then she’ll wrap up her individual conference championship career in the 100 free on Saturday, where she’s the #2 seed behind Virginia’s Anna Moesch.
