Van Mathias Eyeing 50 Breast American Record in Final: “We got a couple tricks up our sleeve”

2026 PRO SWIM SERIES – AUSTIN

Video captured by Anya Pelshaw.

Indiana Swimming’s (Director of Ops) Van Mathias is continuing to impress in the pool. In the 50 breast prelim, he dropped a 26.57, a new Pro Swim Record and just .05 off of Michael Andrew’s US Open record and .12 from Nic Fink’s American Record. Heading into tomorrow’s final, Mathias says he’s still got a couple tricks up his sleeve to shave another couple tenths.

His “trick” is two fly kicks off the pull-out and one short and fast downward fly kick between each and every stroke. If USA Swimming isn’t going to enforce the rules in Breaststroke, they might as well just eliminate the event.

The trick is Tren and HGH. That’s how I had the Pecs and Muslce Mass to attract a Babe like Morreen.

As a lifelong IU Fan, it has been an exciting ride, with several sports’ story-lines to follow. It is amazing what Van has been able to do since returning to the pool. I hope he doesn’t adjust his training much because it is working. He just needs to find a little more endurance for the 100 to become our relay guy.

Contact Brett Hawke and Cody Miller to get unlimited UW kicks at the Enhanced Games!!!! Their excuse is that it is so the sport is fair.

As someone relatively new to swimming, hearing the Name “Van Mathias” made me assume he was from the Netherlands. Very glad he’s repping USA this Summer. I would say by the time we get to Pan Pacs, there’s a chance he could be on the medley relay
