SwimMAC Carolina’s Charley Sutorus has verbally committed to the Georgia Tech men’s program for the fall of 2027.
Sutorus, a native of Charlotte, NC, also represents East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte.

Sutorus competed at the 2025 Speedo Junior National Championships (LCM) this summer, where he swam a pair of lifetime bests. He clocked a 50 breaststroke best time of 30.31 to place 108th overall, additionally, he finished 78th in the 100 breast, swimming a best time of 1:05.27.
Sutorus’s best short-course showing came at the North Carolina Senior Championships in February. There, he swam best times in the 100 breast (57.80), 200 breast (2:04.54), 200 IM (1:55.52), 400 IM (4:02.78), 200 butterfly (1:55.52), and 200 backstroke (1:58.50).
In his career, Sutorus has been named to a pair of USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Teams and participated in the 2025 USA Swimming National Select Camp.
Best Times SCY:
- 100 Breast: 57.80
- 200 Breast: 2:04.54
- 200 IM: 1:55.13
- 400 IM: 4:02.78
- 200 Fly: 1:55.52
- 200 Back: 1:58.50
The Georgia Tech men finished 9th at the 2025 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships.
Based on Sutorus’ best times, he would have finished 42nd in the 400 IM, 45th in the 200 breast, and 47th in the 100 breast.
Though not in scoring range yet, all of his top best times have been set in the year of 2025, which suggests he’s on an upward trajectory.
Sutorus is the only publicized recruit for Georgia Tech at the time of publication.
