Rylee Erisman Leads Standouts At Florida 4A High School District Meets

A terrific year for 16-year-old phenom Rylee Erisman continued at a Florida high school Class 4A district meet last week.

Erisman captured the 50 freestyle in 22.69 and the 100 free in 50.20 to help the Windermere girls’ team win the meet and advance to a regional meet next week.

This comes on the heels of Erisman winning five gold medals and eight total medals at the World Junior Swimming Championships.

Windermere was one of 12 district winners that advanced to regionals. Here is a full breakdown of the other 11 team winners and individual standouts at 4A district meets.

District 1

Team winners: Girls — Creekside, 658; Boys — Creekside, 593.

Individual standouts: Girls — Emmie Lewis (Creekside, South Carolina commit), won 50 free (23.67) and 100 free (52.00); Blake Beaver (Creekside), won 200 IM (personal best 2:08.37) and 500 free (personal best 5:00.71). Boys — Matthew Ritchie (Tocoi Creek), won 200 IM (1:54.23) and 100 breast (57.82); Ben Poynton, won 200 free (1:45.47) and 500 free (4:42.32).

Call me crazy, but I’d bet the 52.7 LCM 18&under 100 freestyler will be alright

Last year she was 23.31 and 51.20, so definitely promising.
