Panama City, September 2025 — The Panamanian Swimming Federation has officially announced the swimmers who will represent the nation at the 2025 South American Youth Aquatic Sports Championships, taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 23 to October 5 at the iconic Júlio Delamare Aquatic Park.

Panama’s delegation will feature two standout young talents: Raúl Antadillas, already recognized for his performances at World Junior Championships and international Open tournaments, and José Darío Moscote, a rising prospect in the national program. Both swimmers will compete in breaststroke, measuring themselves against the top youth swimmers from across South America.

This selection looks to continue Panama’s strong tradition of excellence in breaststroke, a stroke that has produced several Olympians over the years, including Manuel Gutiérrez (1984, 1988), Ricardo Torres (1992), Iván Rodríguez-Mesa (2000), Edgar Crespo (2008, 2012, 2016), Emily Santos (2020, 2024), and Tyler Christianson (2020, 2024).

The delegation will be led by Coach Francisco Páez, who will guide the athletes in this important continental competition.
