Aidan Lohr from Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin has announced his intention to swim at the University of Iowa beginning in the fall of 2020.

Lohr is a senior at Baraboo High School in Baraboo, WI. He was runner-up in both the 200 IM (1:52.53) and 100 back (50.74) at the 2019 WIAA Boys Division 2 State Championship. As a sophomore in 2018 he’d been third in both (1:56.74/52.82). Lohr swims club with Badger Aquatics Club and is a Winter U.S. Open qualifier in the 100 back and a Summer Juniors qualifier in the 200 back. He is coming off a strong long-course season that saw go best times, with big time drops, in the 50 free, 50/100 back, 100 breast, and 100 fly at the Wisconsin Senior Long Course State Championships and in the 100/200 free and 200 IM earlier in the summer.

Similarly, Lohr notched PBs in all his SCY events last season. He competed at NCSA Spring Championship in the 50/100 free, 50/100/200 back, and 50/100 breast and finaled in the 50 back (15th), 100 back (22nd), and 200 back (34th).
Lohr will join the Hawkeyes with fellow class of 2024 commit Kyle Adams. It took 48.22/1:45.40 to final in the backstroke events at 2019 B1G Men’s Championships.
