Nick Kim
Nick is a butterflier and IMer for the Aquamules. He is in his junior year as a Chemistry major and Sculpture minor. He takes great pride in his excellence in dry-land training and is quick to remind everyone that he does CrossFit in the off-season.
2012-2013
In his rookie season, Nick made huge improvements throughout the year. By the end of the schedule, he had dropped significant time and was in competition for relay spots at NESCAC Championships.
2013-2014
As as a sophomore, Nick shifted his focus to both Fly and IM in training. His hard work paid off when he finished the year with several career best times and swam on two of Mules’ championship relays.
2014-2015
Nick had his best season as a Mule as a junior. He had great performances during the dual meet schedule and built momentum throughout the year. At NESCAC Championships, he posted career-best times in all three of his chosen individual events and was featured on several of the Mules’ relays. His biggest landmark was breaking the 57.00 threshold in the 100 fly by an impressive margin, posting a 55.70.
Personal
Nick is a personal fitness enthusiast. He has amassed a large collection of fitness tools and implements that have become the crux of his off-season training. He kills it in weight room on a regular basis and turns heads when he takes to the pull-up bar.
