- Psych Sheets
With swimming action set to kick off just two days from now in Glasgow, the psych sheets for the 2026 Commonwealth Games have finally been posted to the elite event’s official website.
Although the majority of entries remain intact from what we expected based on the primary medal-contending countries’ Trials results and subsequent roster lists, there are a few changeups worth noting that may impact the podium predictions of some events.
We’re still combing through the entries and will provide any additional significant updates.
- British national record holder Freya Colbert is not entered in the 100m free nor 400m free, set to race just the 200m free and 200m IM. Colbert placed 3rd in the former and 1st in the latter at the Aquatics GB Championships.
- Aimee Canny of South Africa owns the African continental record in the 200m free but is bypassing the event in Glasgow. Instead, the UVA-based swimmer will take on the 100m free, 100m/200m breast and 200m IM events.
- Olympic champion Chad le Clos is expected to race the 50m and 100m fly but not the 200m fly. That’s not an entirely huge surprise as he’s laid off the event in recent years but he still is the reigning Commonwealth Games silver medalist in the race.
- Versatile Olympic multi-gold medalist Duncan Scott is missing from the 100 free and 400 IM, events where he is the defending Commonwealth bronze medalist.
- Scott’s relay teammate and the 2020 Olympic champion in the 200m free, Tom Dean, will be racing that free event, in addition to the 200m IM. As a refresher, he was discretionarily picked to the English squad after missing the Aquatics GB Championships due to a shoulder injury.
- Matt Richards, another Olympic multi-champion, will not be representing Wales in the 50m free, leaving the nation swimmer-less in that event. He is sticking to his bread-and-butter 100m/200m freestyles.
- The women’s 50m breast will be void of Scottish swimmer Angharad Evans‘ presence, with the University of Stirling-based Olympian holding to just the 100m/200m distances of the discipline.

Where are the psych sheets for US Nationals?
That format for psych sheets has to be the worst ones I’ve seen in decades.
I’m not fond of it either.
I saw scott on the entry list for the 200 fly unless im going insane
I swear I did too
He IS on the 2Fly entry list, not sure why the article says he isn’t lol.
Unsurprisingly, he’s not swimming either the 100 Free or 4IM though, events in which he finished on the podium at the 2022 Games.
