Emily Brown swam to another lifetime best this weekend in Columbus, touching in a 2:12.64 in the 200 IM. That dropped 0.99 off her previous best. Brown was 10th in the event last June at US Nationals in a 2:13.63 while her time from this weekend would have made the ‘A’ final.
16 year old Maria El-Koudsi dropped 3.16 seconds off her best time in the 1500 free to win in a 17:24.55. She entered the summer with a best time of a 17:27.71 from Futures last summer. She won the event by over 15 seconds.
Morgan Lukinac swam her first meet representing Ohio State as she joins the Buckeyes this fall as a graduate transfer from Brown. Lukinac, a 2026 NCAA qualifier, won the 100 free in a lifetime best 55.19, out touching Buckeye teammate Rachel Bockrath who swam to a 55.20. Ohio State teammate Maria Ramos Najji won the 50 breast in a 31.45.
Highlighting the men’s side of the final night was Mac Clark as the Tennessee swimmer swam to a 8:09.95 to drop seven seconds off his best time. He won by almost ten seconds as TJ Frost was 2nd in a 8:19.07. Frost went on to earn a win on the evening as he touched in a 2:02.07 in the 200 IM, tying his lifetime best from the 2025 US Summer Pro Championships.
Two men got under the 50 second mark in the 100 free as Mike Robinson touched in a 49.83 while Alex Thiesing was 2nd in a 49.87. Robinson was slightly faster in prelims with a 49.74. Robinson’s swim marked his first times under 50 seconds. Also earning a win was Luke Vickers as he touched in a 28.19 in the 50 breast.
