Akron Women’s Swimming & Diving Promotes Graduate Assistant Kendall Craig To Assistant Coach

Akron has elevated Graduate Assistant coach Kendall Craig to Assistant Coach for the women’s swimming & diving team, the school announced on Instagram on Monday.

Craig replaces Phoebe Campbell, who joined the team for the 2024-25 season before being named head coach at Marshall University last month.

Craig joined the Zips’ coaching staff as a graduate assistant last season following her graduation from the university, where she swam for the team all four years. She placed sixth in the 400 IM at the conference meet as both a freshman and sophomore, and seventh in the 200 IM as a junior. She never missed out on a second swim in her individual events, making ‘B’ finals nine times.

A women’s-only program, the Zips won their fifth-consecutive Mid-American Conference championship this past season.

Craig joins a coaching staff that includes head coach Brian Peresie and head diving coach Marc Cahalane.
