Robert Legg Moves To 5th All-Time In 400 Free For 10 & Under Age Group At Tiger Aquatics Meet

A pair of promising young swimmers moved up the national rankings in the 10 and under age group at the PC Tiger Aquatics  C/B/BB+ Meet.

In the boys’ competition, 10-year-old Robert Legg of the Pleasanton Seahawks swam personal bests in four events, doing so in the 400 free (4:41.01), 50 breast (42.53), 100 breast (1:31.44) and 100 fly (1:08.60).

Legg’s time in the 400 free moved him to 5th all-time in the 10 & under age group, while his time in the 100 fly put him 10th on that list.

In the boys’ 10 and under age group this season, Legg moved to 2nd in both the 400 free and the 100 fly. He is still 1st in the 50 fly with a time of 31.08 at the Woodland Spring Classic.

Iris Liu, a 9-year-old for the Pleasanton Seahawks, produced personal bests in the girls’ 100 breast (1:28.03), 100 back (1:22.92), 50 breast (38.79) and 200 IM (2:48.84) during the girls’ competition.

In the girls’ 10 and under age group this season, Liu ranks 1st in the 50 breast, 3rd in the 100 breast and 9th in the 200 IM.

In addition to Legg and Liu, there were two other notable performances at the meet.

Ayden Tan, a 13-year-old for San Ramon Valley Aquatics, clocked personal bests in the 100 fly (59.09) and the 200 IM (2:09.74).

In the boys’ 13-14 age group this season, Tan ranks 2nd in the 200 IM and 8th in the 100 fly (59.09).  His time in the 200 IM is 63rd all-time.

Jacqueline Kuo, a 9-year-old for the California Dolphins Swim Team, swam personal bests in the 50 free (31.32), 200 free (2:33.31), 50 breast (45.14), 100 breast (1:38.12), 50 fly (35.82) and the 200 IM (2:53.38).

In the girls’ 10 and under age group this season, Kuo moved up to 14th in the 50 free.
