International Paralympic Committee (IPC) ne Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games ke Qualification Regulations publish kar diye hain, jismein Para Swimming ke qualification criteria bhi shamil hain.
LA28 ke Para Swimming medal event programme mein total 142 medal events honge (71 male, 64 female and 7 mixed events), jo 17 se 26 August 2028 ke beech aayojit kiye jayenge. Yeh Paris 2024 ke mukable ek event jada hai.
Total athlete quota 605 ka rakha gaya hai, jismein 325 male aur 280 female athletes shamil hongi.
Qualification slots individual athletes ko nahi, balki National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) ko diye jaate hain. Halaanki, is niyam ke 2 exceptions hain: 2027 World Para Swimming Championships mein gold medal jeetkar qualification slot hasil karne wale athletes aur Bipartite Commission Invitation slots.
In dono maamlon mein qualification slot NPC ko nahi, balki seedhe athlete ko diya jata hai. Har athlete sirf ek hi qualification slot prapt kar sakta hai, chahe woh uske NPC ko allocate kiya gaya ho ya seedhe athlete ko.
Kisi bhi NPC ko maximum 34 male aur 28 female qualification slots mil sakte hain. Saath hi, har NPC kisi bhi individual medal event mein maximum 3 athletes ko entry de sakta hai.
Athletes ke liye apne NPC ke through eligibility hasil karne ke liye Minimum Qualification Standard (MQS) performance achieve karne ki last date 1 July 2028 hogi.
Qualification slots ka allocation following order mein kiya jayega:
2027 World Para Swimming
Championships Allocation: 142 male and 128 female athletes
MQS Slot Allocation: 178 male and 147 female athletes
Bipartite Commission Invitation Allocation: Five male and five female athletes
Agar World Championships Allocation ke through quota mein available sabhi qualification slots allocate nahi ho paate, to World Para Swimming (WPS) bache hue slots ko MQS (Minimum Qualification Standard) Slot Allocation Method ke through se allocate kar sakta hai.
