Position Summary
Lyons Aquatics is seeking an Age Group Lead & Operations Coach to work directly alongside the Head Coach. First and foremost, you must be an exceptional on-deck coach with a passion for developing youth athletes and building pristine stroke mechanics.
In addition to on-deck coaching, this role is responsible for coordinating the logistical flow and day-to-day operations of our seasonal developmental tracks and team events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing scheduling and rosters efficiently to support the club’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Deck Coaching:Lead and structure daily training for designated age group and developmental squads, prioritizing technical progression and high engagement.
- Program Operations:Coordinate the internal logistics, scheduling, and roster tracking for foundational club programs and events.
- Staff Collaboration:Provide on-deck leadership, working collaboratively with our coaching staff to ensure consistent coaching standards across the pool.
- Member Communication:Manage timely, professional communication with team families regarding schedules, entries, and program updates.
- Event Coordination:Assist in the planning and execution of club-hosted meets, clinics, and special team functions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success coaching age-group athletes with an emphasis on fundamentals and athlete retention.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and communication efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset.
- Current USA Swimming Coaching Credentials (or ability to fully obtain prior to start date).
- A reliable professional focused on executing the program goals set by the Head Coach.
