Based in Portland, the Business Development Specialist (Inside Sales) position reports directly to the VP of Sales USA to drive business development across dealers and swim programs. You will join a leading global swim brand with a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial work environment dedicated to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new market opportunities across competitive swimming, fitness swimming, summer league, and high school channels.
- Proactively support new business acquisition and expansion of existing accounts through targeted outreach, lead generation, and customer engagement.
- Execute outbound sales activities, including prospecting, pipeline development, product presentations, and virtual meetings with prospective customers.
- Build and grow relationships with dealers, swim programs, clubs, and retail partners to support ongoing account development.
- Partner closely with outside sales representatives to accelerate territory growth and unlock new business opportunities.
- Leverage market trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, marketing, operations, and product teams to support revenue objectives and enhance customer experience.
- Contribute to sales-driving initiatives including trade shows, sales meetings, and seasonal campaigns.
Requirements:
- 2+ years in inside sales, business development, or account management.
- Educational background in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) with good Excel skills.
- Prior experience or strong familiarity with sporting goods and swimming is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solver and self-starter with a competitive mindset, positive attitude, and team-first mentality.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
