The 2022 NCAA diving calendar gets up and running Monday from Knoxville, as the Tennessee Diving Invitational will see the host Vols and Lady Vols take on a stacked lineup that includes several of their SEC foes.

Tennessee will be joined by conference rivals Alabama, Auburn, Missouri and South Carolina, along with Miami (OH) and Wisconsin.

Georgia, LSU, NC State and Virginia were previously scheduled to compete as well, but have dropped out of the event. The Bulldogs only pulled out of the event on Monday.

The event will feature the traditional events, 1-meter, 3-meter and platform, along with a new team-style event. The team event will have three divers from each squad perform a combined six dives (two apiece) to make up a team score. Teams must have at least one dive from the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform.

Event Schedule

  • Monday, Jan. 3: Women’s 1-meter, men’s team event
  • Tuesday, Jan. 4: Women’s 3-meter, men’s 1-meter
  • Wednesday, Jan. 5: Women’s platform, men’s 3-meter, women’s team event
  • Thursday, Jan. 6: Men’s platform

The top 12 divers from each preliminary will advance to finals. Prelims are scheduled to start at 12:00 pm Central Time each day, with finals varying each day (between 2:30-3:39 pm).
