Toussaint took advantage of a new program by the Dutch Federation that allows US-based swimmers to qualify in a 25 yard pool rather than the traditional 25 meter course.
Tennessee’s Maddy Tegner picked up her 3rd win of the weekend, sealing her sweep of the distance freestyles with a 10:08.00 in today’s 1000 free.
Among the notable swimmers affected by this are Tennessee’s Kira Toussaint, Alabama’s Laurent Bams, and Queens University’s Dion Dreesens, who will all be competing in yards ahead of the World Championships as a part of their respective NCAA teams.
