Adam Chaney is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally. Chaney first appeared on SwimSwam in March of 2015 when, as a 12-year-old, he went 51.42 in the 100 yard freestyle. Chaney continued to improve throughout his early teenage years, earning the #9 spot on SwimSwam's Way Too Early NCAA Recruit Ranks Class of 2020 List. Chaney didn't stop there though, and a year later when the actual list came out he had jumped to #3. High School Breaking 21 as a Freshman Chaney turned heads when he broke 21 seconds as a 14-year-old freshman in high school at the 2017 Ohio SW District Championships. He touched at 20.98, winning the event, and also got 2nd in the 100 free in 46.37. As a 15-year-old at the 2018 TYR Junior National Cup, Chaney split 19.29 at the end of the Mason Manta Rays' 200 medley relay.
