Jimmy Martin Co-Swimmer of the Week For the Bonnies

Senior Jimmy Martin earned co-swimmer of the week honors this week for the Bonnies, sharing the award with George Mason’s Fernando Rubio. Martin recorded four first place finishes, also helping to break two pool relay records this past weekend against Pitt.

Martin, a senior from Bristol, Connecticut, recorded three top place finishes at the Western New York invite. In the 200 yard freestyle, he touched in with a time of 1:43.11 with was good enough for a second place finish. Later in the day, he recorded two more second place finishes in the 200 yard freestyle relay and the 200 yard medley relay along with teammates Ripley DannerVatslav Lets, and Matthew Schutt. Martin finished the day with a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle by recording a time of 46.75.

This past weekend, Martin recorded four first place finishes at home in the Reilly Center. Martin recorded first-place finishes in both the 50-yard (21.18) and 200-yard freestyles (1:43.06) along with anchoring both the 200-yard freestyle relay team and the 200-yard medley relay team as they recorded top place finishes.

Martin and the Bonnies return to action on November 2nd at the Spire Institute to face A-10 opponents La Salle and Duquesne.
