Bula Choudhury: India’s ‘Queen of Seas’ Ke Ghar Se 295 Medals Stolen

Bula Choudhary, jo ki India ki ek legendary swimmer hain aur Padma Shri winner bhi, recent dino me ek shocking wajah se news me rahi. 54-year-old Bula ji ka ancestral ghar Uttarpara (Hooghly district) me chori ho gaya, jisme thieves ne unke 295 medals le liye – including unka Padma Shri award bhi!

Lekin achhi baat yeh rahi ki sirf 48 ghante ke andar local police ne zyada tar medals aur awards recover kar liye, aur ek aadmi ko arrest bhi kiya gaya hai is connection me.

Bula Choudhary, jo ki “Queen of Seas” ke naam se bhi jaani jaati hain, English Channel cross karne wali sabse popular Indian swimmers me se ek hain. 1970 me born hui Bula ne sirf 9 saal ki umar me national-level swimming competition jeet kar sabko impress kar diya tha. Uske baad unhone South Asian Federation (SAF) Games me multiple gold medals jeete, aur unhe Arjuna Award (1990) aur Padma Shri (2009) se bhi sammanit kiya gaya.

Currently, wo Kolkata ke Kasba area me rehti hain. Interesting baat yeh hai ki yeh recent theft koi pehli baar nahi hua – 2014 me bhi unke ghar me chori ho chuki thi jisme jewellery aur kuch gadgets chura liye gaye the.
