For her high school team, Plev placed second in the North Carolina State Meet as a junior, and went on to win both the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke her senior year. She then decided to stay in the state of North Carolina to attend Duke University where she can always be found with a smile on her face and always heard cheering for her teammates.
