Eva Greene
Born Sept. 13, 1993 Eva Greene is a freestyle and backstroke specialist from Church Hills, Va. Greene is a senior at the University of California, Berkeley where she’s majoring in Political Economy. Swimming since the age of three, Greene works hard both in the classroom and the pool. During the 2013-2014 swimming season she contributed to a blog on The Washington Post – in her high school career at McLean High School the same publication actually named her to All-Met first-team choice in 2010. She and teammate, Maija Roses, started a blog in 2014 about the Cal swimming team. The two decided to alternate writing a blog per week, and they titled their publication “On the Blocks with Maija and Eva.” As a member of the 2011 recruiting class Greene owned two long course National time standards. Swimming World ranked Greene as a five-star recruit and College Swimming had her in the top 200 prospects amongst the 2011 class.

UC Berkeley
As a freshman Greene competed at the 2012 Pac 12 Championships. She finished 32nd in the 100 backstroke, qualified for the ‘C’ final finishing 21st in the 200 backstroke, and she also came in 48th in the 200 IM.

In Greene’s sophomore season she switched her Conference events around a bit. In 2013 she finished 28th in the 100 backstroke, 29th in the 200 backstroke as well as a 37th-place finish in the 100 butterfly.

Greene injured her arm in her junior season, preventing her from swimming in the Pac 12 meet.

In her senior year, Greene had a good Pac 12 meet. She finished 35th in the 100 butterfly in a best time, she made the ‘C’ final in the 100 backstroke and she also came in 32nd in the 200 backstroke.

National Competition
Greene graduated from McLean High School in Virginia where she earned multiple accolades including: four-time All-American, 2009 PVS Swimmer of the Year, 2009-2011 U.S. Scholar Athlete, team MVP.
