David Tao

David Tao

David was named an all-American in 2012 and 2013. He helped his team to state championships in 2011, 2012, and 2013. He was an NCSA Junior National qualifier and helped his club team to a championship in 2012. David worked as a lifeguard over the summer before his freshman year and was an Illinois Scholar in 2012.

Emory University

2014-2015

Tao had some solid in season swims but did not taper until UAAs. There he impressed, placing 17th in the 50 free(21.21) and 19th in the 100 fly(51.54). He also swam the 100 free in a time of 47.19.

2013-2014

Tao’s first taper meet at Emory was the Miami Invite, which was a success. He dropped in his events and placed 15th in the 50 free in a time of 21.37. At UAAs, Tao placed 13th in the 100 free(47.31) and 14th in the 100 fly(52.30).
