Kirill Prigoda is a Russian breaststroker, World Championship medallist and Olympian.
2016 Olympic Games (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
In his Olympic debut, Prigoda finished 20th overall in the 100 meter breaststroke in 1:00.37.
2016 FINA Short Course World Championships (Windsor, Canada)
In Windsor, Prigoda won three gold medals as a member of Russia’s relay teams. They came in the 4×50 meter medley and freestyle relays and the 4×100 meter medley relay.
2017 FINA World Championships (Budapest, Hungary)
On day two at the World Championships, Prigoda lowered the Russian 100 meter breaststroke record to win the bronze medal in the final. His time of 59.05 lowered the national record for the third time that week. In the 50 meter breaststroke he finished 7th in 27.01.
On the final night Prigoda added another bronze medal when he joined Rylov Evgeny, Aleksandr Popkov and Vladimir Morozov in the 4×100 meter medley relay. Prigoda swam the breaststroke leg in a split of 59.02. Russia finished behind USA and Great Britain.
2017 SCM European Championships (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Prigoda competed in all three breaststroke events in Copenhagen. He touched the wall first in the 200 breaststroke in front of the World Record holder Marco Koch. He placed second in the 50 breaststroke and third in the 100 breaststroke. Prigoda also competed in Russia’s World Record breaking medley relay. Russia stopped the clock at 1:30.44 which was 0.07 seconds under the old World Record.

Prigoda continued his momentum in Gwangju, swimming on the 4×100 medley relay on the last night of the meet and splitting 58.68 to help Russia earn bronze and break a national record. Individually, he placed 5th in the 100 breast (59.09) and 4th in the 50 breast (26.72, new national record). Prigoda also split 58.22 in the final of the mixed 4×100 medley relay, helping Russia earn 4th place in another new national record.
