2014 Austin Grand Prix: Adrian wins 100 free, Ledecky smashes competition on Day 1

Nathan Adrian went 48.26 for a nice 100 free win, while Katie Ledecky blew away the 400 free field, going 4:04.46.

Magnussen’s 47.7 ties him for most sub-48 swims in history

The Australian has twelve swims under 48 seconds, tied with France’s Alain Bernard and one ahead of World Record-holder Cesar Cielo. More impressive is that all 12 of Magnussen’s swims have come in the post-bodysuit era.

NCAA to consider new 6-year policy on certain transfers in lieu of waiver system

Instead of granting waivers to allow certain transferring athletes to compete immediately for a new school, the new policy would have those athletes sit out a season in exchange for a full-year extension to their eligibility window.
