Cavalier Aquatics’ Lily Phillips has verbally committed to join the William & Mary women’s program as a part of the 2026 recruiting class.

At the 2025 YMCA Short Course Nationals earlier this year, Phillips swam her way into a pair of sprint freestyle finals. She finished with a 6th-place finish in the 50 free (23.51) and touched 7th in the 100 free (51.01).
The Crozet, VA, had one of her best meets just a few weeks earlier at the VSI Short Course Senior Championships in March. There, she set lifetime bests in the 50 free (23.48), 100 free (50.72), 200 free (1:52.55), and 100 fly (56.45).
In more recent results, earlier this summer, Phillips raced in Greensboro at the USA Swimming Futures Championships in Greensboro (LCM). She marked new best times in both the 50 butterfly (28.73) and 50 backstroke (32.23).

The William & Mary Women finished 2nd at the 2025 CAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Based on Phillips’ best times would have qualified for the consolation final in the 50 free, 100 free, and ‘C’ final in the 200 free.
Phillips is already firmly in a scoring position for the Tribe, with a year still to further her development. She has proven progressions within each season, and if she stays on that trajectory, she may become one of the key scoring components for William & Mary to reach the top of the CAA scoring charts.
William & Mary adds Phillips to their 2026 recruiting class, which includes Krysta Blaha and Nelli Sandor.
