2025 World Junior Swimming Championships

There was only one scratch from top 16 seeded swimmer on day three of the World Junior Championships, but it was a big one.

Tajus Juska, a 16-year-old out of Lithuania, scratched out of the boys 50 freestyle, where he was the 4th seed in 22.34. This is his 2nd event scratch of the meet after he was entered in the 100 fly and 200 freestyle events yesterday and scratched from the 200 free.

He will be in the 100 fly final this evening, coming in as the 4th overall seed at 52.61, just three tenths back of the top qualifier Lucio Flavio Filho from Brazil. His semifinals swim was .15 off his Lithuanian National Record time of 52.46 from April

As of now, Juska is still entered in the 100 freestyle and 50 butterfly events later this meet, though he has yet to swim a freestyle race this week.

Me too, i think a 21.9 was a possibility for him, and would make him the youngest ever to swim 21 in the 50 free
