Pool ke peripheral chambers me leakage dekha gaya tha, aur repair work complete hone wala hai. 1987 me bani hui iss pool me lagbhag 9 peripheral chambers hain, jinme se kuchh tree roots ke ghusne ki wajah se damage ho gaye hain.
According to sources, pipelines and tiles ko change karne ke saath repair work 90% tak complete ho chuka hai. Halanki, kuchh aur kaam abhi bhi pending hai.
Ye swimming pool city ke talented swimmers ke liye vardan hai kyunki ye national and international level participants ke liye free hai. Students se ak ghante ke liye 30 rupees liye jaate the, jabki adults se 50 rupees per hour tha. Mangala Swimming Pool ki length 50m and width 15m hai, jiski capacity 25 lakh litres paani contain karne ki hai. Starting point par pool ki depth 4ft hai, jabki diving end ki depth 16ft hai.
MCC Council ke Chief whip Premanand Shetty ne kaha ki swimming pool ko phir se kholne ke decision ko finalise karne ke liye city corporation dwara jald hi ak meeting bulane Jane ki sambhavna hai. Unhone kaha, pool me leakage related work complete ho chuke hain aur city corporation jald hi ise phir se kholne ka decision legi. MCC commissioner Anand CL ne mention kiya ki wo pool ko phir se kholne ko finalise karne se pahle jald hi uska inspection karenge.
Isse pahle, pandemic start hone ke turant baad do saal tak pool band raha, aur baad me ise keval sports batches ke liye khola gaya, especially district, state and national events me participate karne wale participants ke liye. MCC ne water quality ensure karne and maintenance ki cost ko kam karne ke liye old filter plant ko hata diya aur pool ko ozonisation plant se decorate kiya. 98 lakh rupees ki cost se banaye gaye new ozonisation plant ka inauguration February 2019 me kiya gaya tha.
