No NCAA Records in the morning heats of the 200 breaststroke for A&M sophomore Breeja Larson (to match her 100 breast record from Friday), but she did take down the Big 12 Championship Record in 2:06.82.

Unlike yesterday’s 100, expect Larson to be faster than this in finals. She’s been faster than this swim, though it does rank in the top-15 swims in history.

Other notable swims include Hayes Johnson taking the top seed in the 200 back in 1:45.13. That’s a good swim to top a relatively weak field, and is a good sign for him as he’s recovering from a freak accident that necessitated eye surgery and miss a lot of winter training.

Larson’s teammate Cammile Adams fired off an easy-looking 1:55.66 in the 200 fly. On the men’s side, a pair of great freshmen – Texas’ Tripp Cooper in 1:46.82 and Missouri’s Mack Darragh in 1:47.73.
